The Jefferson Green project, now under construction, will be a three unit luxury condiminium offering. These very energy efficient LEED Certified homes will be nestled at the end of Princess Anne Ave in the historic Union Hill neighborhood, overlooking both the Richmond City skyline and majestic Jefferson Park. The homes will feature 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, rooftop patios, 2 dedicated off-street parking places per home one pre-wired for "Plugless" electric car charging and sunset views. These homes will be available for occupancy in 2017.
Under the direction of architect R. Michael Cross, LEED AP, Hollyport Ventures LLC rehabilitated a home at 4600 Augusta Ave, in the City of Richmond. This 1938 structure, built many years before most of the practices promoted by the LEED for Homes program were created, posed many challenges. The goal of the “Augusta Project” was to renovate this home to meet the Platinum Certification level of the LEED for Homes program.
Serving as the LEED consultant, this home built in 1909 at 3200 Floyd Ave. created many challanges. The project was named after long time resident Honor Patterson. A full gut rehab, both chimneys and most interior walls were removed. The design by R. Michael Cross, Architect, includes an open design first floor with the master bedroom, kitchen, living room, 1/2 bath and outstanding staircase to the second floor's multi-purpose video room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and loft.
